 BP has agreed to pay an extra $4.5 "BILLION" in fines on top of the "TENS OF BILLIONS" it is already paying out for the Gulf oil spill,
 while two employees were indicted......on 'manslaughter' today....♦

When BP was  dealing with the spill....and especially here in Houma.........,.......the money was being handed out here.......like 'Candy'..........!!!!!!......Most of the 'Spill operations'........were out of Houma.....they were renting anyone with a boat.......didn't matter how big or small.......and it didn't matter.....how much.....!!

It's been 2 1/2 yrs.....since the BP Explosion......!!!!
It happend just south of my town(Houma)......
This picture, was taken just before it leaned on its side........
and sunk to the floor of the Gulf of Mexico.....
over 500 feet deep.....!!!
They had the 'underwater rovers.......operated by
 "Skilled experts.....24/7...


Those orange boats had the 360 degree pods(propellars)....to keep the rovers "Exactly" in the same spot on the Gulf floor....within a "knats Ass"..!!!!!!!!

.........I watched the "Live"...online streams.......for days and nights......and I'm not even joking......!!!

There, on the ocean floor while they tried everything to stop the gushing oil........!!!!!!
Example:......when the rover arms, were using a saw.....to try and make a "Clean cut"....of the busted pipe,.......
and every now and then........the rover would accidently drop the saw blade.....or a tool......and it would take "Forever"........to get everything back up and sawing....or what have you.........!!!.......OMG....,
watching the oil pouring out.....with such a force, and there nothing anyone could do about it..........!!!..
It was Horrible.....!!!.......there were days on end, where you walk outside......, the air smelled just like Kerosene.....like gas.......like a refinery.....and you'd get such, a headache.....because the smell was so strong.........!!!!!!!!
..All of us here in Houma....fell into such a deep "depression"...
(esspecially because BP has a coperate office here)!!!!!!.......
and there were reminders.....with all the goverment....and BP people.........figuring "Strategies"...of what to do next...and not an 'effin' clue as to what to do......NEXT.......!!!...........it was our own......"Ground zero"......for this tragedy!!!.....

It did not matter where you went............in the grocery restaurants......or anywhere.............
 not one single happy face was to be found...........for months!!!!!!...........knowing "life as we knew it".........was over.......and with no idea what the future held..........
while, the oil.......washed ashore......every single day.......OMG.......
It was such an "Awful"........time.....here!!!!!!!!!

Now 2 1/2 years removed.......it's such a "Wonder",
 how
"Mother Nature".......can heal herself........Oh no, the effects will take forever.......to 'right' themselves.............but.......
 'Houma' is back and Thriving.......all the Gulf Coast.....as well...,
in many ways........better than before...............
and I am so "Grateful"......

So Hurricane Sandy has completely shut down all flights on the east coast. I was supposed to fly YYZ-DCA today, returning home tomorrow. Wrong! I'm told the following airports are now shut down completely and not expected to resume flight operations till Wednesday at the earliest:

• Philadelphia (PHL)
• Washington, D.C. Reagan National Airport (DCA)
• Washington, D.C. Dulles (IAD)
• New York LaGuardia (LGA)
• New York JFK
• Newark (EWR)
• Albany (ALB)
• Binghamton (BGM)
• Elmira (ELM)
• Islip (ISP)
• Ithaca (ITH)
• Newburgh (SWF)
• Syracuse (SYR)
• White Plains (HPN)
• Boston (BOS)

Pretty well all the airlines have moved their planes from these airports to other locations, in order to protect them from damage. I've attached two pictures of Pittsburgh, taken from the Pittsburgh Airport Facebook page. It looks like the good old days when US Airways used it as a hub.

Hardly the first time I've been stranded by weather. But this time, I'm stranded at home. How nice is that..........I think it is very nice.........!!!!
