Yep, the red glow from those three magic letters could be seen from, well actually, from one end of the world to the other ~ and from I-95.
Thats right..one end to the other...and still does...make no mistake!!!!

An interesting piece of architecture. It appears the entire front part (the hanger portion) of the roof is supported by those cables anchored to the back. Doing it that way probably meant they didn't have to use the traditional dome-like roof line of most large hangers.
Completed in 1956 - now gone. I just hope someone salvaged those signs!
NO CRUMBS INDEED! Look at what's inside the spoiler box of Captain Doug's A320 lol!
Nice pictures, I can imagine the red glow!

Hey Getjets, I love these old photos - it reminds me of some restaurants near me that have old photos on the wall of how my town used to look! I live quite near the port of Portsmouth in the UK and sometimes when walking down the street I try to imagine the scene 100 years ago or more.....
Regarding all things interesting relating to aviation, THIS sure made me laugh - I have never seen this happen before - no one hurt (unless you count a few slipped vertebrae!!!
All the best

NLAF.....I can't bring myself to post over these lovelies yet....it's like their bridges, not buildings....I would love to know where those neon letters are!!!!!!!sitting being neglected....
I hope all is going better than your avatar lets on....LOL
Oh Bas Man....yes he had a damn dried up rasin rolling around the speed brake box or something....LOL
and when I blow up those pictures in the cockpit, I surely see alot of stripped screw heads....whether philip screws or regular screw heads...they get stripped out, then you need a jack hammer to get the dried up rasin out....
Remember a month or so ago.....esspecially that picture Captain D posted with the fake RED "BULLSHIT" BUTTON ON IT.....
Well I blew that pic up....I never seen so many stripped screw heads.....preventable....and interesting....and funny....
thats the machinist in me.....I guess....
Dave W....I never saw that site before....but the video of the MD-88, below the picture ....I believe...
that is a wild video to watch....it's old, but Aviation is timeless....I am so glad you stopped by.....got a hold of some good vino lately.....??????
