 I've posted this Awesome TWA video several times....and I've thought, at first, it's kinda 'corny' to equate a love song with an Airline or the jets that fly us...But it's NOT corny at all.......and the words to these songs......are sung.....not only for the "Awesome Airline TWA" was/and will always be..............but sung as well, to the precious cargo those jets carry....'US'...and those we 'Love'............each jet as it back away from its gate........has hundreds of "Love Stories" it carries in the hearts of all of 'Us'.....on our way to reunions, or visiting with those who mean so much to us.....and the hope of our 'loves' returning to us.....in those same Lovely Jets that TWA flew.......I love this video for those  reasons......!!!......I hope you enjoy.........as well.......!!!...

The second song sung by Faith Hill...."There you'll be".........Well, a couple of years ago..........a  woman e-mailed me .....and Thanked me for  putting this video on my blog......Her Father was a TWA pilot, and sadly had passed away in an air crash....OMG....so the Faith Hill, song really meant Everything that she was feeling toward her Father  she had lost too soon!!!!!!!!!! Isn't that Lovely and Tragic all at the same time............!!!!!????

The full moon that rises this weekend is a special one, carrying the title of "Harvest Moon" for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere. 

The moon officially turns full when it reaches that spot in the sky exactly opposite the sun, and this moment will occur Saturday (Sept. 29) at 11:19 p.m. EDT. When you gaze at the full moon this weekend, think of farmers working late into the evening to gather their crop, because that's how the Harvest Moon got its name.
The Harvest Moon allows farmers at the peak of the current harvest season to stay in the fields longer than usual, working by the moon's light. It rises around sunset, but also -- and more importantly -- the moon seems to appear at nearly the same time each successive night.

Front landing gear cocked to the side............!!!!

It was a miracle on Runway 31L....
Frightened passengers braced for a crash landing at Kennedy Airport yesterday,Wednesday(9/26/12) when the nose gear failed on their flight from Rio de Janeiro.
But the gear on the Airbus A330 amazingly locked into the correct position as the plane was just 50 feet above the runway.
“It was like the hand of God turned the wheel,” said a Port Authority rescuer who was part of the disaster response crew put in place for the incident.
None of the 190 people aboard TAM Airlines Flight 8078 were hurt — despite getting the fright of their lives.
“Everyone was panicking inside the plane,” said Rio resident Anna Maria Falcao, 33.

“Even the crew was running around panicking, saying ‘Don’t worry, no one’s going to die.’ So many people were crying,” said Falcao, who was traveling to New York with her 1-year-old son, her husband and her mother.
Everyone was warned to brace by putting their heads in their hands, Falcao said.
“The captain kept saying ‘Be calm, keep calm. We know what we’re doing,’” said Matheus Freiha, 23, of Sao Paulo.
But the emergency preparations proved unnecessary -- the landing turned out to be smooth as silk, and passengers’ fright turned to applause for the skillful flight crew.
“It was a perfect landing, better than normal,” said Freiha, who is in New York to study at the International Culinary Center.
The plane landed without incident at 11 a.m., after circling the airport twice so controllers and rescuers could get a look at its nose gear.
The nose gear dropped down, but the wheels were turned at a right angle. “It appears cocked at 90 degrees,” a controller radioed one of the pilots.
The incident recalled JetBlue Flight 292, an Airbus which had a similar problem with its landing gear when it made an emergency landing at Los Angeles in September 2005.
But unlike today’s incident, the JetBlue A320’s landing gear never straightened out. The twisted gear created a shower of sparks as the plane skidded to a stop

NASA's Curiosity rover reached out and touched a Martian rock with its huge robotic arm for the first time, then took off on its longest Red Planet drive to date.

Curiosity spent the past several days investigating a strange pyramid-shaped stone named "Jake Matijevic," testing out some of the gear at the end of its 7-foot-long (2.1-meter-long) arm. These tools include the Alpha Particle X-Ray Spectrometer, or APXS, which measures elemental composition; and the Mars Hand Lens Imager close-up camera, or MAHLI.



I would like to introduce you to "Jake"........He's the leader singer, of a "Rock" and Roll band "Curiosity" has been Jamming to........LOL......

September 11, 2001….I was running a computerized Vertical milling machine at work……and I overheard a co-worker say……"a plane hit one of the WTC towers"….and my answer out loud as with a gazillion of us said.....”Must be one of those small planes ….cesssna’s..blah blah blah………………
then…as a little time past ..It became clear...........this was not so small a plane..........No TV, at work.......only the radio blarring…over all the machinery…
Thats when all the music STOPPED….and it went to 'Emergency News'….and realized this was for Real,  then hearing over the radio........……they were not sure how many other planes were out there….that this was happening in "REAL TIME"........OMG.......”WE THINK THERE IS ANOTHER PLANE OUT THERE …HEADING FOR WASHINGTON…."!!!!!!!
having that Scared in your Gut feeling…and not a thing you can do about it…..so small in the scheme of things…compared to real world…real people dying ….events, looking back now….
and I started praying this was not happening….stayed all day at work..........listening to the Horrible news.......I wanted to go home, but I was also, scared to go home......to an empty house.......!!!
Finally got  home..sat on my “jet spotting swing"...... husband was out of town…..I was PETREFIED TO TURN THE TV ON….BECAUSE I KNEW WHAT HAD HAPPENED, I HAD NOT “SEEN ” A SECOND OF COVERAGE AND IT WAS ABOUT 5 PM….SO IT WAS SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE FACT….I WAS SCARED TO DEATH….BUT I DID TURN TV ON…..AND HAVE NOT BEEN THE SAME….AS ALL OF US!!!!!!
One of the loves of my life has been with me all weekend…one of my granddaughters….Jasmine….she is 9…she had not been born yet in 2001……she spent the weekend with me, and I have spent 2 days…telling her…about this Horrible day(10 yrs ago)…..and the promising 'Future',  I wish for her…..and that I am not sure it for better or worse..at this point….do you know…..????????????????

I also remember waking up September 12th for work…..for several seconds….. I thought….”THAT WAS ONE OF THE WORST DREAMS I’VE EVER HAD......!!!!!
 Then realized….it was NOT a bad dream….No shaking this off!!!!!!!!Feeling safe in my own country......was just a 'Given'.......Bad things only happen in other countries......well that  went out the back door...........everything is different.....now.........but not sure "How"….in different terms…..I don’t know if it had not happened…but I would NOT be typing these words….so everything is different…..but I breathe, which is ....more than ……many that horrible day…!!!!!!!!!

I remember distinctive…..there isn’t ONE …NOT ONE OTHER PLANE in the sky…..and I got it…I knew the gravity of that….although you can't cash that sort of thing into anything….except experience….and the hope for it not to be repeated………!!!

I think the Best 'Revenge', to those who mean to do us in...........is to "Live"............our lives and make sure the our children and grandchildren.........have every chance possible to achieve any goals  they set.............!!!!!!!! I think it starts with.........taking the 'Time' and really listen to kids when they talk...........there's so much in a child's conversation........above and beyond what they may be actually talking about.......and when listening..........make eye contact.......as well, ...........

The best 'Gift'...........you may give a child is your

please take a moment or two,....to watch....I'm no 'cinematographer'........so the quality leaves a lot to be desired...........but it not about that, it's about a young boy, and his planes.............!!!.

Ok......this first video was taken on August 30, the first full day after 'hurricane Isaac' made landfall here over Houma.........It was Thursday, me and Duck went to some friends house to watch the last 'Saints' preseason game............while friends and neighbors help each other clear the pieces of tree's, large branches and debris.....laying out all over he place after a storm............It's neighbor helping neighbor......so you can hear the chainsaws blaring in the background.....and watch these Damn "Cajun's"....(who are afraid of nothing).....cut a tree branch down the size of a 'crossover SUV'.....while dangling from a ladder 20,30 feet high.....so myself and Karen go to her neigbhor's house to do what we do best...........which is "SUPERVISE"...........;)))))

.......but Serious, this is quite 'Lovely'........how we look out for each other........!!...So I find out that....the little boy across the street wants to show me his jets and airplanes...........you can hear the excitement in my voice, Serious....I was so 'Excited'.......the boys name is Keegan.....and he's 8 years old....and in this crazy fast paced world........really, I think the Kids get lost in the shuffle, no one really listens to the kids too much.....

Well I was all 'ears' when Keegan starting showing me and my friend(Karen)...his 'Planes'..........I don't know what was louder............my "Big mouth" or the "Chain saws".......eshh

and is showing me the first of 3 Jet airplanes he has......This was the day after hurricane Isaac passed over......Children, should be our most "Treasured Natural Resource"......!!!!!!!!!!!

without Imagination, we would,  probably  still be dragging our knuckles when we walked.......!!!!!

Keegan the ''destroyer".....When my friend, Karen, asks Keegan when he built this seaplane.........he says his Momma built it, but he destroyed it.....LOL.....what a precious moment........when, he flat out says he "destroyed" it,........sometime after his Momma had built it.......I Cracked up.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!
