 This is Bas's comment he left after my 'Thanksgiving' post,......and I just have to put it here.......besides tending to the care and feeding of all those planes landing and taking off......at the YOW, ....those nights at HQ4.....me and GG found out that Bas........has quite the  'Repertoir'..when it comes to sings......the oldies.......!!!!....So when he started sing Johnny Cash songs, or 3 Dog Knight, songs........me and GG head spun around like in the 'Exorsist'......YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING......BAS.......?????!!!!......NOPE----NOT KIDDING...!!!!..our singing was HYSTERICAL..........!!! Bas knew the songs better than us, unfortunately, GG made the mistake of recording us....half light up....NOT PRETTY ....but it did solve the...'Mystery' of all the "GO AROUNDS.................LOL....This is his comment he left....Bas says:

As usual.........I'm behind....and it has come back to haunt me.........My phone.....crashed and burned........as of now, I have no idea if my pictures or anything for that matter will be saved............trust me...there were several thousand of them...and the ones I'm  most fearful of losing...are of my Ottawa trip....Heavy Sigh.....Thank GG, and Bas......for sending yours to me...so I can.......'post'...!!!.....replacement phone this week, Tuesday....and the closest 'Apple' store is an hour away..course I get to pass by MSY......so not all bad.....
Granny always said....make the best of it, and if not.....a well placed slap....will send your pouting ass straight........ha ha.....

It was so Magical the whole weekend..........GG couldn't be there to pick me up at the airport....it was Halloween......so trick or treat....was game on for those sweet 'Badeggs'...and when I went through 'Customs'.....and this time.......I didn't forget my name or my address....The 'customs' lady did ask me...If I was born in Canada.....I said..yes..........then she says 'Are you a Canadian citizen??"...I said no....as I didn't think I was....she said your ARE a Canadian.....citizen........right at that moment....we smiled at each other......was a split second.....of connection....as she was on to the next person.

so I go collect my suitcase......all the time I can't see Bas or.....GG's Hubby.....I was dying.....its one of those moments....when I was in between worlds.....I'm officially there, but technically was in between worlds so to speak,  but the few minutes for me to get my suitcase, I stopped and Thank God....because I'm the luckiest person in the world right now..........and I'm just a corner or two.....from my Aviation family....

I walked out, and the first thing I saw was  BASMAN...........he's Tall...!!!!.....I got the best hugs, right then and there...from both...it was, like I say several times here........MAGIC......!!!!.
The very same 'MAGIC.......from my first flight 2 yrs earlier to meet GG...there in Ottawa, and when GG flew here....that same year in June...........then when Dave and Lucy flew here...last year and again GG flew here while they were here ...!!!!!

there were NO Awkward moments....it was as if we had been together in the physical realm.....forever!!!


these first slides are of us...in my hotel room.... the "HEADQUARTERS FOUR EVER" affectionately referred to as 'HQ4EVER'.......I say 3 of us.....but GG's husband.........gave us some of the best laughs ......recording...a message for "HQ4....so when someone would call .......his message.....is priceless....Got to find a way to get that recording,  here on the blog...........It's Hysterical........!!!...

Went to dinner that first night.............then after..in hotel room......
we, me Bas and GG.....opened up the curtains......cranked up the Live ATC at the YOW......and we would listen and watch the planes coming and going...took the couch and moved it in front of the huge window............I have to say...I knew me and GG.....were nuts about watching and matching ATC with the planes coming in........but Bas ...was every bit as CRAZED as we are about.....not missing one plane......even if all we saw the lights of one....far off......we were glued to the window......while listening......and getting so damn EXCITED.........when every thing Jived.......!!!!!!!!!!!!...
God those nights were the best....HQ4EVER........BABY..!!!.....then Bas and GG got a little "TESTY" with me...when for just a few damn minutes..I put my live ATC on JFK Tower........Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...needless to say, I didn't do it...........again.......lol....and I'm still having to hear grief over it.....;)...

Damn we didn't take many pics of us in the room...I guess no one wanted to miss out on a plane.....taking off or landing.........the last night there was the best....there was a distinct buzz in the Aviation realm that night at YOW from, HQ4.....we watched a 'First Air'.....737(i think) do 11 touch and go's......OMG....every time it took off..we would yell and scream.....laughing ....out loud....wondering if it was going to again touch or land..........

Only true Aviation Geeks....get this ....it was 'MAGIC' and I shared with 2 wonderful people......!!!..There was also an MD-80 that landed.......which was out of the ordinary.....well it was a Team 'Charter' flight.....another.....jump and down.....laughing......!!!

 and pardon, if my memory does not serve me right...but we also watched the president of France land......We all got picks of his plane when we parked at the airport....the next  the day I flew back........:(
we saw it parked where gov't dignitaries land....That jet..is a Beauty......!!!WOW...what an Absolutely wonderful weekend....from HQ4EVER....!!!......here are some of the slides from HQ4......I want to say his plane is a 777......??!!....♥

Its 1:26 am here in Louisiana ..........Bas has just landed in Amsterdam.....and he was kind enough to take this Beautiful picture of the Sunrise.......there in Amsterdam.......he's home back with family and friends........this is a good thing........Lovely Sunrise indeed.......she shines for us....here on this side of the pond........I like that........ok.....Welcome home Bas.............and btw.....don't forget those red boxers...........LOL>..........I just had to mention that..........I enjoyed tracking you tonite..and knowing your home safe and sound.......as it should be...........!!!

 Yes we knew this day was coming........the day that Bas would fly back home after 10 weeks in Ottawa.....as I sit here.......just one week ago we were all together....laughing our ass's off........watching the air traffic at Ottawa from my hotel window........with the live ATC on.......now affectionately know as HQ........here is a screen pic....of him on his way.....I suppose it was time...Bas, was ready to go home........he has so many memories of Canada to keep him busy for a while...its time for his family and friends to have him back..........Bas is a Wonderful man...so full of promise....I am honored to have met him.......and for our Aviation family to continue to grow.....now its time to plan our next convention.......of  the AAS (WorldWide) HQ......LOL>..no doubt the adventures lay ahead of us........as we all know........'The Sky is only the beginning'.......Safe trip home Bas Man........your 2 Crazy ladies from across the pond........will always be here for you.....♥

Aviation Family..........♥

Where to begin…..OMG, this past weekend flying to Ottawa to visit GG, her family, and Bas Man…..whom I had not met yet……Lets just say that the ‘Aviation Appreciation Society’..Worldwide…..is very much alive and kicking….up ‘RUNWAY’ dust……..!!!......with so much room for future visits….ya know as I look back….to begin…..with was me flying to Ottawa for the first time Feb,2012……meeting GG for the first time, her Beautiful family, omg those ‘badeggs’ of hers that I fell in love with even before we met…..GG’s wonderful husband…….we all hit it off so well, …..back then…..remembering the many ‘post’s …..after that visit GG flew here to Louisiana…that June, 2012….to visit me and meet my family, and my girlfriends(YES DAVE AT THAT TIME I STILL HAD A FEW ‘FRIENDS’ LEFT;)…..….Mr. Duck, was the cook all week……LOL>……and we sure did eat GOOD…drink GOOD and who can forget the “Drive thru” Daiquiri shop..LOL…..then flash forward to last November,2013 Dave and LuLuBell fly here to Louisiana..from the UK.. and there we met for the first time,..after landing…..and losing the parking ticket LOL…..we drank a bottle of champagne in the…car before even leaving the parking garage…..and …with those sexy british accents…..every one fell in love with them…..especially Lu Lu when she spoke……they were here 2 weeks…and omg….it was the BEST……!!!!!When Bas Man…..with his engineering studies, he needed to visit a Country that spoke his second language (Bas if I am getting these details wrong, please correct me)……choice…I wanted so badly to be able to find him a place here for the 10 weeks…..Thats when GG…..found just that for him……so he flew to Ottawa, Canada….where he has lived for the past 9 weeks…he flies home this Saturday, Nov. 8^th………but he has had nothing short of a WORLDWIND…..time his past 9 weeks….traveling to many places….meeting the lovely Canadian people…..and of Course the Care that GG, and her family…….to watch over Bas…..has given me hope…..that yes, there are many people out there, who really do give a SHIT………and don’t care about glory…or bragging rights……that just doing something for someone else…is its own…..payment…..!!!!!!!!....So the idea for me  to fly to Canada came into play…..to again visit GG and her family……but to meet Bas Man for the first time……and OMG……What a Lovely, Sweet Man he is…..and the three of us together……was pure MAGIC……the nights sitting in my hotel room with curtains spread open ……(Headquarters)…..omg LOL>..with the ATC on…..we saw some F*cking Awesome…..Aviation traffic….that of which I will go into more detail…in coming ‘posts’…….we had the best time….it was beyond……that…….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....we were the perfect Aviation Geek ‘STORM’…….the weekend…was Fabulous….as I said I will go into MUCH more detail……soon……I’ve got 4000 pics…and in no order…so I need to go through…..and chronologically go through them……(quit snickering…GG, Bas;)…I flew back home day before yesterday…..and I am still riding so high…….it was Magical……This Saturday Bas flies back to his home base ……Amsterdam….his 10 weeks done, but oh, the places he’s seen….and memories made…….Ahead of time I want to wish Bas a Safe flight home……please send me your flt info…so I can track…..so we all can track…….It was a complete pleasure to meet you……and my time with GG and her lovely family……is burned in my heart….as well, ……as I see it…….the Sky is the limit…..and it may be that GG and I make the track across the ‘POND’…….and visit Dave and Lu Lu Bell’s Sky……sounds like a good pre emptive strike…

Another point…I want to make as well, is the MissTWA family……all those who we’ve come to know and love…..through the years here…..some have left us……some have stayed, and to those who just pass through……the ‘Welcome’ mat is always ready for a visit…..and no need for comments……hoping at least I brought you a smile…..all of you I appreciate very much……afterall …..ITS ABOUT THE PLANES ‘’STUPID’’…..;)…I love you all…….My Aviation family…..here at my humble……Misstwa blog……especially those who just pass through during the night ………you can’t escape ….Ha Ha…..So many more visits…..I’ll leave just this one ‘Selfie’…….we took on Monday…..at the cafa at YOW……….a couple of hours before I took off……for now…..there will be several ‘posts’…..of this last weekend……’IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES……AND IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES’………♥.
