And nope, no boats grounded this week, although there will be plenty of new opportunities next month. That's right, I'm home over the weekend for a change. Now I have a chance to get to the vast list of projects awaiting in the job jar, grateful for the patience of She Who Must Be Obeyed.
Craig R..Don't you usually fly A-777's when traveling?????
so if your 777-200's, would be a candy, as I alluded to in my last post about the Candy store in the sky....... I picked your 777-200's to be "hershey kisses with almonds..."
and my ?, was and is....what do you think about that choice???
just another example of my sometimes confusing humor or at least an attempt at it...
Ah - my apologies, dear lady. Please forgive me, as it's my first day with the new brain and all that.
Actually, a lot of my travels over the past two years or so have been on 767-300s, rather than 777s.
Sometimes this is intentional, since I really like the 2-4-2 economy class seating arrangement in Air Canada's 767 fleet (only one other person to disturb when Ma Nature calls and I need out from my window seat). And I really like the lie-flat, pod-style seats Air Canada has in its Executive class section (J class). On longer trips I'll opt for flights on 767s because (1) a larger number of seats up front means better chance of scoring an upgrade, and (2) those lie-flat pods are just great, especially on overnight flights.
At other times, I've wound up on a 767 when the airline changed equipment at the last minute. Last time I went to Vancouver, for example, I was supposed to travel out on an A321. Surprise! Waiting at the gate was my good friend from Boeing. It was absolutely full too, so I guess they made the switch to accommodate the additional passengers instead of making them wait for later flights. And on the return leg of that same trip, the scheduled A330 was late arriving from England so - Surprise! - they substituted a 767 and kept an on-time departure.
A recent flight from Montreal to Toronto was delayed by a mechanical issue. Surprise! New boarding passes for everyone as our faulty A320 was swapped out for yet another 767.
Overseas flights are almost always on 767s, though She Who Must Be Obeyed and I are scheduled to fly on 777s to and from Paris when we take our vacation in September. Let's see what happens. I will not be surprised if one of those flights winds up being changed to a '67.
