We only got the one pic of the 787's cockpit - I guess we need lessons from GG on how to barge past the flight crew!! LOL!
Yep, the Captain was busy with his paperwork but did take time to talk, I complimented them on the landing (it was smooth to be fair)..
D'you know, we landed at Maximum Landing Weight after flying almost five and a half thousand miles! We had enough fuel on board for the return leg (20 tons, that's 44,000lbs!!) Because of the cost of fuel in the Maldives it is actually cost effective for the 787 to tanker it's return fuel, I found that amazing (yep, sorry Geek alert!)
I have to say, we definitely felt better after the long flight than in recent years (Lu was less grumpy at the end!) so I think the lower cabin altitude really does make a difference, especially on the long haul, if we have a choice I think I would pick the 787 over other airlines..
We've already booked next year (flying with Qatar)

Yeah - right "Hell on Earth" - it was a quick hope from South Africa when I lived there - like the Seychelles and Mauritius too - but - never did it! Really like the Geek alert Dave - I never realized that!! That is a really cool fact! And - by the way - what was it - one day or clouds and rain - or maybe 2? Really?? such hardship!! At least the wine doesn't seem to cost too much there - which is perfect!!!
