MIA...???..♦Midnight 'Aviation Geek'snacks.......♥A lot of "HOT"....AIR CANADA..... was spotted today.......♥ the passing of a gentle Aviator......♠

UPDATE.....I tried to log on to 'Ryan the pilot's' blog page and was 'denied'....has any one....been to his blog lately...Ryan O'Harren Photography......I hope all is well with him and his family......!!!!???....I'm notorious for going for long periods of time without checking in with my Aviation peeps.......and I hope this is not my punishment....??!!...They say you should NEVER get to big for your britches......Mmmm...

What a precious face.....♥

Two days ago........I was pulling up one of new and Awesome airport web cams at Osaka airport.... http://airportwebcams.net/osaka-itami-airport-webcam/

you can see the planes land and take off.......as the camera is far enough away..to see the whole sequence.........and like me with my late nights...it's day time there..so...I can feed my Aviation hunger......with an all night snack if I want.........

BUT ...day before yesterday I happened on another 'airport' web  cam......and OMG......its of Princess Juliann airport at St. Maarten...and if can catch a 'heavy' or a 'prop' pass.......right there with a great vantage point...the camera refreshes every 5 seconds...so it can be a bit......broke up.....But hey.....better than nothing...and rates a 4 of 5 possible 'Gold Stars'....in my book.........here's is the link.......

Hello 'Peeps'.....its been a rough week for me........brought on by my own hand..........well......why lets someone else fuck things up.......when you 'yourself'.......can do it......with little or no down time........Jeezus.....well... time for a fresh 'post'......and no more self pity....(or much else)....any way...GG had a very busy day today at YOW.......Seems there was a lot of  hot "AirCanada" passing over her house and not just your....garden variety A-320's....blah blah blah..........Well lets let her pictures speak for themselves........

her first 'prize'.........
she say it pass over her...so she high-tailed to the airport.......and here we have.......A-330...
what a 'Beaut'......

I asked GG......where she was when she took.....this..so lets let her words........say.....
>
"Well, when I saw the 330 fly low over my house, I was shocked! We hardly ever get that in YOW!
So, I drove to the airport to see it close.
I was in the airport when I took the photos of the 330...right next to the 767, and a 320!
Fun!!!!
I even took video if the 330 taking off!
There were two older men watching as I was. They started chatting with me and were surprised when I started talking! I think I knew more than they expected! LOL!"
Xo
Lots of love!
GG..........well  Lots of Love to you too.......

....Like 2 lover's.....after sneaking a "Kiss"......Mmmm.......
Love those 'Baby Buss's'......A-319/A-320......

Another of the 767.......coming into the gate......
same 2 from earlier.....(oops I've lost track of which)....Ughhh........well ...this is 'Stunner'.. with the rain clouds and the sun.........shining through..who says you can't have your cake and eat it too......so to speak.....

Look at this little 'Pipsqueak'.......
Hey....
DOES YOU MOTHER KNOW YOUR OUT PAST YOUR BEDTIME......??!!..........
damn........'punk'........;)

Below GG's short video of the A-330 climbing...like a love sick angel(gee where have I heard that before...;)....anyway .............bye bye.............♥.......I want to Thank GG......for all her......pictures......we all appreciate it...!!!!  after it all...........Its about the 'Planes'.....Stupid...!!

Please let us take a moment to say a prayer......This is a story about one of our own. This is the story of the loss of an aviator....John Davies....who  happily gave his time and his passion to aviation enterprises throughout the Ottawa area. As well as Vintage Wings of Canada, John worked with the Canadian Aviation Historical Society, the Ottawa International Airport Watch, Airliners.net and other organizations whose mandate is to share the culture of aviation. And John was the ultimate sharer.....darling you will be missed......by all of us.....!!.

There is one thing that binds all men and women who I call aviators. Whether you are a cocky jet fighter pilot or a low and slow-flying ultralight farmer; an aviation writer or aviation photographer; an actual 20,000 hour four-stripe airline captain or a basement dwelling nerd on FlightSim, hand flying a 747 Combi from San Francisco to Kuala Lumpur in real time, while your mother makes you pizza pockets; whether you are a rivet-counter or a plane-spotter; a fixer, builder, flyer, lover, reader, writer, researcher, collector or marshaller—you are an aviator and we, every one of us, all share one thing in common—a passion for flight in one of its forms or another. You, me, that slightly weird guy with two radio scanners slung like six-guns, that astronaut who made our whole country proud—we are, have always been, will always be,... aviators. Those actual flying aviators (let’s call them pilots) who do not understand or recognize this common DNA are missing the true greatness of aviation. Somewhere far back in our individual stories and our collective souls, we had a moment when this passion was ignited. And from that day onward, it burned in different ways for each of us......

This past year, John Davies was accorded honours from the volunteer group known as Ottawa Airport Watch for more than 10,000 hours of volunteering for the organization. That is the equivalent of working 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year for five years. That is an incredible commitment, offered by John Davies quietly and without demands. He was a man of exceptional generosity. Here we see him standing on a snow bank (the fence top is 10 feet high) this year during one of Ottawa’s most difficult and cold winters on record. John was there almost daily, rain or shine, -30ºC or +30ºC to photograph the comings and goings of one of the world’s best run airports.

There is an old saying: “When God shuts the door, he opens a little window.” One thing I know for certain—something that comforts me a little—is that, for every aviator lost, another is born. John... you are forever gentle in our hearts..

Good Night...Friends.......and Aviators.............Sleep tight......

Good morning, Julie!

Yes, I see that the assassins have failed...ha ha ha! That's one of my favourite sayings...

I see that you were up late again. Girl, do you ever sleep? xox

And I see you mixed up some of the photos I sent ya. It's okay...I think everyone gets the general gist of things. Next time I send you stuff, I will label each photo carefully.

My daughter and I heard that 330 fly over...and since it was a totally unexpected sound, we ran outside to see.

I looked at her and said--let's go to the airport! LOL! She humoured me with "Yeah! Let's go on a plane adventure!"

There is only one really good spot to see the airplanes at the airport (if you are not through security). I won't even start complaining about that! Anyway, there were two older gentlemen (armed with fancy shmancy cameras). Here I was squeezing in to the window with my iPhone. Ahem...I read "professional" through and through.

But never underestimate a geek.

Glad you liked the pics...not sure it was post worthy. Love you! I really did this just to distract you...just to remind you that things are still great!!! Right? xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

What I feel IS post worthy is the part about John Davies. I was very saddened to hear of his tragic passing this month.

I never knew him but I saw him a few times at the "fence."

He was part of YOW Airport Watch and I used to follow his aviation photo gallery he had on Flickr.

Maybe you could post some of them on here...

So sad. But, lovely tribute, Jules. Thank you! xo

Hello.....GG....Grrrrrr..I had a feeling I may have gotten the pics somewhat mixed up....I like to think...that besides the fact, that there is no such thing as a bad plane pic....even a mislabeled one....and to think my Princess Bea was there right beside you....makes my heart...smile..and I guess you showed those 2 old 'farts'.....probably younger than me......(rolling eyes).that an iphone...or any high faluten camera again its about the 'planes' stupid...

Yes, the loss of fellow Aviation Comrade....John Davies, of course his ....his pictures..with their own 'post'.here......so tragic to die alone......in this manner.....!!!!! One thing that is for sure....chances are we won't know when we literally will make our last 'step' on earth.....it may be wise to plant our feet firmer.....just in case...may get lucky..not fall......I don't know......but of course.....on the bright side.......I believe it's perfectly OK......to plant one foot...and use the other to put up someone's ass.....when they deserve it......Hence...me, this past week.....!!.

..Glad you like the post..........it is always a labor of love to those who pass through here at my humble blog....Love you...GG

Hey, Jules...

I think Ryan is done with the blogs. His photography one is gone too.

Too bad because I enjoyed his photos of his travels.

I hope he is well. I am sure he is.

((HUGS)) to you, Jules.

What a mixed post! (no change there!)

Well, I'm saddened to hear the loss of a fellow geek and John sounded like one of the best...

Hey GG, what a great set of pictures! I love the developing weather in the backgrounds as much as the planes - you can get quite close by the looks of things! I love the fact you can just jump in the car and drive down to the airport when the need arises!!

Yep, I too can't get in to Ryan's blog, but then he doesn't seem to have posted anything lately..

All the best folks

D from the UK :)

Dave........aint' that the truth.....the plane flies over her house....she gets up ..and calming drives like a "Maniac" to the airport.......LOL...to get these great Pics......I think 'Air Canada' gets lost in the shuffle sometimes.......but will always be special to me.....that is how I met all of you....I might have been losing victims one after the other....but it was sure FUN.....I'll always miss Captain Doug as it was his fantastic blog....we all... came from.......♥....Give LuLu Bell a kiss for me...

Yes, Jules, we will definitely miss the photos that Ryan would take. He even took a pic of snowy Ottawa as he flew over it one night! He was a thoughtful friend. :)

And that blog DID start all these crazy friendships. :) We are all thankful! <3

Dave, say hello to LuLu Bell! <3
