WE WILL NEVER FORGET............THOSE WHO PERISHED............

Time to rest.....here where the angels of all who perished....can come as well come to visit......you'll feel the 'flutter' of their wings.......as we both...look for each other....know that we will meet again....Your BRAVERY will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN...........

Sweet post. True; we will never forget those heroes. There is a special place in my memory for the air traffic controllers, Command Center personnel and FAA Management, etc. who were working that morning and watching helplessly as the reality set in. They had to deal with the horror on a professional level, which, in retrospect, seems impossible. The controllers who had been handling those flights and the staff in the New York Metro towers (JFK, EWR, LGA) who actually witnessed the WTC strikes had their lives changed forever, within a matter of seconds. I love them all.

THE LAST PHOTO: Just did a little googling. That's
probably SONALI, Alan Beaven's (at the time) 5 year old.
Alan was an environmental lawyer, who was born in
New Zealand, but lived in Oakland, California.

A bit of a rebel: wrote his briefs in longhand; he was
definitely not a computer guy... :) His style in the
courtroom was to listen to the other lawyer's lengthy
speech, & then say something devastatingly witty...

A well aimed, smooth stone - from David to Goliath. :)
