https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=7c54119743&view=att&th=1310659678d27939&attid=0.1&disp=inline&zw

Photo0163  ok here goes....the jet on the " RIGHT" is our UFO Jet....the one on the left of that pic, is just one for camparison....We are trying to figure out the type of aircraft (right pic) it has 4 engines...so that does narrrow our scope.....possibly a 747-?????,   A-340-?????? two of the most popular 4 engine  jets.....but also and even more importantly the question that has us the most curious, and which is drving myself, and Bas STARK RAVING MAD is which airline is it;....can anybody help us here?????????? Bas took  the picture with ,I believe his camera with a telephoto lens..there's a BLUE swirl paint design around front of wings that wraps around front part of fuselage.....Bas took this picture from his home in Amsterdam one evening.....IF ANY ONE ...ANY ONE CAN HELP US HERE.....WE WOULD BE SO DELIGHTED.....!!!!!!!AND I believe on Bas's Blog,  several posts back may be a good month or swo by now, you can see a perhaps clearer image of same picture.   and with liveries these days....they seem to change day to day....

Bas and I both believe it is a Major Carrier, even Major Cargo Carrrier.....he has tryed checking the sky at the same times of the day....Casperflighttracker.....contrail archives, you name it....so if anyone can help or possibly make other suggestion, where else to look........
I even e-mailed boeing.....but NO JOY there.....ANY IDEAS OR ANSWERS WOULD BE WELCOME!!!!!!!
SOMETIMES YOU JUST GOT TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF AN ISSUE.....SORT OF .....A CALLING OF SORTS.....BUT TO AVIATION GEEKS........NEEDING AND LOOKING FOR THAT UNHOLY GRAIL.....
please feel free to comment ...and feel free to run the hell away.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........LOL

But we are serious........

Finally! Thanks! Hmmmmm, I still don't know if we are talking about an A340 or a B747... It looks a lot like Oman Air:

But they don't fly A340's :P
And then we've got Air Tahiti:

Still didn't find a 100% match, :(

The first picture (four-engines and a T-tail) looks like a US Air Force C5 Galaxy transport plane.

The second picture (on the laptop monitor) looks more like a B747 than an A340 to me, and I take that from the proportions of the fuselage compared to the wing. Even A340-300s look (to me, anyway) like they have a longer area of fuselage in front of the wing than this aircraft does. My guess is B747, and probably a 100 or 200 series.

As for the airline, that's harder. Could be an Atlas Air jet .... they have several B747-100 and B747-200 freighters.

By the way Getjets, nice pic. You definitely should try to get one of those pillbox hats :-)

Craig R...I am gonna start off slow here....I agree with your guess of the first jet being maybe a C5 Galaxy....so let drop that pic out of the equation... agree...the fuselage is too stream line....and smooth in my book

I am gonna be back and forth here....on this UFO jet thing....
gotta go for now...

I'd day mystery aircraft is a 74. I don't think it is an A340 although those engines do look like A340-200/300 engines.

As for airline I can't tell.

@Zee, yes I believe it to be a 747 as well......so it's being narrowed down here.

but we want to know that Airline, don' t ask why...."just because" is probably the best answer.....

you would be surprised how many "contrail pics there are out there....it's just to find that one with that blue swirl!!!!!!!

not even sure if the sun's glare may be hiding some of the continued blue swirl maybe futher to the back of the fusalage....???????

also think it may be a foreign carrier, since Bas took the pic over Amsterdam.....
don't ya just love a mystery....????

miss(gonna get ya blue swirl)twa
